Caring Communities, is a 501(c)3 non-profit that helps persons
with disabilities through training and education. Proceeds of our
Charm City Countdown Charity Ball will directly benefit the
Caring Network Respite Registry.

Epicenter exists to take the youth of Baltimore from the corner to
a career through a safe, fun, encouraging, caring and accepting environment to build practical and empowering skills through education and performing arts. www.epicenterbaltimore.org
We work closely with our business partners to help them fulfill their
marketing goals. Each relationship is tailored to meet the sponsor's
objectives and, wherever possible, we try to involve the sponsor uniquely and directly in Charm City Countdown plans.
We expect to fill the building with 1000 attendees. This Website (charmcitycountdown.com) reaches over 10 times that amount.

Caring Communities
MISSION: To offer disability-related training, education, publications, and events for the benefit of children and adults with disabilities, their families and caregivers, as well as healthcare and education professionals. Our efforts will enhance the quality of life regardless of the nature or severity of the disability; empower individuals with disabilities to achieve economic
self-sufficiency and independent living and; promote inclusion to enjoy full participation in society.
Proceeds of our Charm City Countdown Charity Ball will
go directly to these very important services offered to
the disabilities community:
CARING NETWORK RESPITE CARE REGISTRY, the only
online and searchable Respite Registry in the
Baltimore/Washington Area. This offers families the opportunity
to enjoy the benefits of respite care services, which is the temporary relief or "intermittent breaks" for caregivers and
families who are caring for those with disabilities, chronic or terminal illnesses, or the elderly. The CARING NETWORK
RESPITE CARE REGISTRYprovides families and caregivers with relief from the ongoing demands of providing care for
their loved one with special needs.
Epicenter
About
Epicenter exists to take the youth of Baltimore from the corner to a career through a safe, fun, encouraging, caring and accepting environment to build practical and empowering skills through education and performing arts.
Epicenter’s goal is to build a sustainable and comprehensive model in East Baltimore by serving the entire community impacting and improving the lives and opportunities of the youth of the community. Epicenter can do this by working to understand the
real and felt needs of the community by engaging the community in dialogue and by being part of the community. Epicenter is not the solution, we are part of the solution and with the community’s involvement together we will understand the needs to establish a support net of services that address these real and pressing needs.
Epicenter is not just contained in four walls of a building but permeates and envelopes the community connecting all the
aspects of the community including the neighbors, youth, community leaders, faith-based organizations, nonprofits, city officials and businesses to provide this support net and
serve the community. Epicenter will nurture a safe and encouraging third place away from home or school where youth can build practical and empowering skills through educational programs and performing arts to cast a vision outside of their paradigm.
Epicenter will leverage, connect and facilitate these services provided by specialized organizations with the community and
the people of the community to establish a true interdependent community that is the center of empowermentfor the individuals
of the community. Epicenter will tie these threads together while focusing on our mission of taking the youth of Baltimore from
the corner to a career.
Currently we are working with the Collington Square community
and we will have volunteers tutoring and mentoring in Collington Square Elementary each week throughout the school year to help the students in math and science and just be positive role models.
